We brought in the New Year by watching an amazing fireworks show from the Skye Tower. Because our hotel is right on the harbour front, it felt like all of Auckland was celebrating right under our window until the wee hours of the morning! We took a city tour the next morning, viewing the city from the picturesque viewing point of Mount Eden. Thereafter we spent time visiting a penguin sanctuary at Underworld Sea Adventures and walking with the sharks, sting rays and crayfish!Had a great visit with a friend from Rhythmic Gymnastics who has relocated to Auckland. Yes, Marni Sterner has a Kiwi accent and is loving life in NZ! She gave Rick his first driving lesson on the left side - scary!
And that was life in Auckland for us!
I have always wondered what it would be like to drive with the steering wheel on the right - on the other side of the road! I would expect a lot of crashes!??!
