We are still looking to buy a car here in Melbourne, to make our transportation around the city somewhat easier. We have come across several antique car shows lately - if only we could afford one of these! One show on Australia Day had more than 400 models, all parked in a row on display throughout the entire park. It is just amazing that the cars are so well preserved. Of course, they never have to worry about salt or sand on the roads! Most of the cars were all being driven around as roadworthy cars, and when the show ended, the owners all packed up into their cars and drove away! We have seen cars of every make and model - right from our own familiar VW "Bug".... to old Model T's or Model Fords complete with rumble seats that Mom Doerksen would have loved ... to a Firebird that would strike son-in-law Drayton's fancy...to a Smart car that brother Gerry could admire!
